About the Journal

Humanitas is the former journal of the Institute for the Humanities at SFU. The journal ceased publishing in 2009, and is now superceded by Contours. Humanitas was dedicated to the exploration of the critical perspectives that relate social concerns to the cultural and historical legacy of the Humanities. The Journal published articles that contributed reflective and critical points of view on the conflicts and contentious issues of our time.
